Our first ever Nocturnal Cities Forum will be held as part of Nova Scotia Music Week in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada on November 3, 2018.

What:

The event is hosted as part of Nova Scotia Music Week 2018, organized by Sound Diplomacy, Music Cities Events and Music Nova Scotia.

Our first ever Nocturnal Cities Forum will explore the relationship between city planning, strategy, development and the night time economy with the top minds from municipalities, regions, academics, consultancies and the music and creative industries in attendance to discuss, debate and introduce new thinking, action and structure to develop more vibrant, night time economies.

150 delegates, from all over Canada and the world, will participate in a full day of presentations, panels, and roundtable sessions. 

The event theme is connected to NSMW's 2018 focus of Building a Stronger Music Community

Since the inception of Nova Scotia Music Week (NSMW) in 1997, the music community has gathered together to participate in a range of business training and networking opportunities while celebrating our artists and industry professionals. NSMW engages the Music Nova Scotia membership and music industry at large while showcasing emerging and established artists to the public. NSMW is held over four days in November with workshops, receptions, over 100 showcases, an international and domestic buyers program, B2B networking opportunities and the Music and Industry Awards.

The 2018 version of the event will be held in Truro, Nova Scotia, from November 1-4th
